Conservatorships & Guardianships
The attorneys at Taylor Summers Rhodes Rasmussen Brooke & Torossian LLP are involved with the appointment of Conservators or Guardians and the ongoing counseling of both Conservatorship and Guardianship Estates.
When an individual is unable to handle his or her own financial and/or personal affairs, the need may arise for appointment of a Conservator. The needs and circumstances of each client are varied. The attorneys at Taylor Summers Rhodes Rasmussen Brooke & Torossian LLP will consult with each client to determine if a Conservatorship is necessary.
A Guardianship is similar to a Conservatorship; however the appointments of a Guardian are made for a minor and not for an incapacitated adult.
A limited conservatorship is available for persons who have developmental disability and who only need assistance with certain areas of their life. If a Conservator is petitioning the Court to be a limited conservator, he or she will petition for the right to perform certain duties on behalf of the developmentally disabled person.
